Challenge #50 – Show Us A New Style/Show Us Something New

We are a stamping challenge so we do need to see some form of stamping on your project, also no digi stamps are allowed.

You may use digi downloads for enhancement of your projects … but the main focal point must be stamping.

Please welcome our sponsor of FSC a fabulous company called Flonzcraft.

The winner of each challenge will receive a very generous voucher for Leo’s Store of $20.  Here is a little information about our sponsor:

We are a small family-owned design and craft company from New Zealand, a very small country where all people are great neighbours. We work very hard for our store and work philosophy to reflect that in our company. We are very proud of our products and our main goal is making and selling rubber and clear stamps. We have a unique collection of stamps that you cannot find anywhere else.

Brenda has some exciting new work projects ahead of her which need more of her time so she has decided to make more room for them and to step down from FSC.  We are truly going to miss seeing her stunning creations on the catwalk but we are equally thrilled with this new chapter starting in her life.

We wish you luck Brenda and a huge thank you for all your time and hard work.

Something New/A New Style

We all love something new … be it a stamp, a die, paper, ribbon or just finding the perfect button as long as it is new to you then that’s OK with us.

You can also try a new style if you wish something that takes you out of your comfort zone.

How about a new technique which you have been meaning to try but not quite had the confidence to do it.
Well now’s your chance, just let your imagination run free and then see where it takes you.

Just so that you won’t be to disappointed with Brenda’s news we have a fabulous Guest Designer for your inspiration for this challenge.  Neil is well known in blogland more for his grungy colours but for our challenge theme this fortnight he is trying a new style.  Wow how gorgeous is this:

Guest Designer for FSC
Neil Walker

Below is a little info from Neil himself:

Hi, Neil Walker here from Neelz Expressionz.  I was thrilled to be asked to do this guest design project for the lovey folks at Fashionable Stamping;  though I must confess to a slight sinking feeling when I saw the theme LOL.  Try a different style….

Well for those who know me and have visited my blog before my usual style is pretty grungy with lots of textures and layers.  As a certified Ranger Educator my projects usually incorporate a lot of Tim Holtz’ influences too as well as a large dose of brown.

So as a departure from my usual I decided to try something new and went for a soft and pretty card.  This was influenced by all the pretty Magnolia style projects I see in blogland.

So, away with the cogs, gears and browns and in with the soft pinks, greens, lace and doilies ….
This is the end result, something I’m actually pretty pleased with so I am glad I took the step out of my comfort zone to ….
Try a Different Style!

Now it’s the Fashion Stampettes turn to parade onto the catwalk to show you their inspirational pieces which are full of new, different and exciting things just for you.  So lets open the curtains and begin the walk.

Dot’s first step onto the catwalk is very hesitant because she has covered herself with UTEE (Ulta Thick Embossing Enamel) for the first time.  How rich does she look with all that gold and the soft cool hues of the blues and black strike just the right balance
